Referees & Assistant Referees

unnamed ( 5)
All games from U8+ need Referees and Assistant Referees. They are split into three categories based on the age of the players:

  1. MiniRoos (U8 to U12)
  2. Junior Competitive (Under 13+)
  3. Senior

MiniRoos Referees

If you are a Narangba Eagles FC player and meet the following criteria, you could become a MiniRoos (U8 to U12) referee and get paid for your time:

  • Play in U13 or above (you need to be available Saturday mornings)
  • Can attend a two-hour training night
  • Can act responsibly on and off the field
  • Can attend games punctually when rostered on Saturday mornings
  • Will contact the Referee Coordinator several days in advance if unavailable.

For more information, please contact secretary@narangbaeagles.com.au

Junior Competitive & Senior Referees

Becoming a Junior Competitive or Senior Referee has many advantages. It allows you to get paid while you work outdoors and gives you an opportunity to work with great people with common interests.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be 13 years of age or older
  • Complete the online Laws of the Game course
  • Complete the Football Queensland Level 4 Referee course.

Adults and/or parents are also encouraged to take up refereeing.

For more information, please contact secretary@narangbaeagles.com.au

There's also a lot of referee resources on the Football Queensland website.
